Today was full of paper. The tables were covered; it looked like we just threw a bunch of paper in the air and let it fall. But by the end of the day, all of that paper was neatly written on, sorted, hole punched, and organized in our portfolios. It was the end of our unit, so we had to put together our portfolio reflection and store all of our assessment pieces. Here is all of the paper that we handled in some way today:
- Unit reflection
- Action reflection
- Summative reflection
- Peer assessments
- Teacher assessments
- Self assessments
- Final essay drafts
- Summative assessment artifacts
- Portfolio reflection
Of course, I had two people absent today, so I will get to do this all over again tomorrow.
I feel you! This is going to be me for the next couple of weeks. You put it all too well, I can see vividly visualize it.

Your ending made me laugh because that’s the way it always is, isn’t it? I feel like I am always playing catch-up with absent kids

Sorry for our absent friends. Sorry you’ll have to exude more energy toward getting them caught up. Hopefully your activity was meaningful.

I can see it, and I wish you would have taken a picture at the same time! Those are the best days, with paper everywhere and and pens flying across the page! Thanks for sharing!
