I was sitting at my computer, wondering what to write, when this happened.
My husband was getting ready to prep for dinner (homemade ramen!), when he discovered that our noodles were moldy. Grr. We got this meal from Blue Apron, so we were at a bit of a loss as to where to find fresh ramen noodles. We are big ramen fans, so we have been looking forward to making this meal since the box arrived less than a week ago.
Of course, we went to the Internet. Our local grocery store here in Austin is HEB, so we went to the website, and searched for ramen noodles. No, thank you, HEB, we do not want “cup of noodles”. Strike one.
Ok, Google: Where to find fresh ramen noodles? We get the names and numbers of a couple of Asian markets, but they are either closed or not close. Strike two.
We live pretty close to Central Market (a Whole Foods-like branch of HEB), so my husband is currently on a mission to find fresh ramen noodles there. In the meantime, I am going to start prepping the other ingredients, ever the optimist that we will be successful in our quest of making homemade ramen. Will we end up making ramen tonight?
